Bridging the Gap Between Performance and Strategy
I spent twenty years obsessed with the technical details of performance. Three Olympic Games taught me that success isn't just about effort—it’s about the precision of the tools and the strategy behind them. Today, I apply that same rigor to the business of play, helping brands and parents navigate the complex world of athletic development.
My career spanned two decades, from my first junior title in 1997 to my third Olympics in 2016. At the Olympic level, the margin for error is zero. I spent those years as a professional athlete vetting every variable—from gear and data to recovery and mindset—to find the marginal gains that decide who stands on the top step.
Twenty Years at the Limit
Transitioning away from professional racing wasn't an end—it was an evolution. I’m currently finishing my MBA at Lehigh to formalize a career spent at the intersection of elite athletics, gear editorial, and e-commerce management. This unique perspective allows me to bridge the gap between technical specs and the actual needs of the buyer, ensuring that when people invest in equipment, they are making decisions based on data and proven results rather than marketing noise.
The Intersection of Performance and Commerce
As the Co-founder of Kitli, I’m focused on the 'learning stage' of athletic development. For parents, navigating the world of youth gear is often noisy and expensive. I apply my background in technical product editorial to filter that noise, ensuring the next generation has access to tools designed for skill development rather than just marketing appeal. We don't just look for gear that works; we look for the gear that helps kids actually get better.
